About
Trained as an architect in Argentina, Matias formed his unique approach to architecture working with such iconic figures as Peter Eisenman in New York and Zaha Hadid in London. They inspired him to create extraordinary environments, challenging conventions and sculpting spaces. During his time at Fletcher Priest Architects in London, Matias acquired invaluable professional skills running complex projects and nurturing relationships with clients. Matias later relocated to Amsterdam, where he started his own practice, Matias Musacchio Architecture.
Through his professional trajectory and life experience, Matias has developed a deep design sensitivity combined with space awareness and love for materials and textures. This allows him to create unique spaces which deliver beauty, value, and reflect the client’s identity. His practice, Matias Musacchio Architecture, offers hands-on implementation for projects and has successfully delivered projects for educational, commercial, and residential clients in Argentina, New York, London, and Amsterdam.
Driven by a commitment to quality, a strong aesthetic vision and his charisma, Matias Musacchio Architecture provides clients with the best solution for their needs, with a personal approach and elegant designs.
“I was particularly impressed by how the project architect, Matias Musacchio, kept his attention on every detail of the interior, ensuring the coherence of the whole. He had the daring to suggest an outrageous embellishment to the elevator design which we were delighted to accept which gave the building a vitality to match its elegance. The Library is loved by the students and is in use 24 hours. Though on one of Oxford’s busiest roads, the acoustics are perfect. The key to its success, however, was not only the professionalism and flair of the team but the candour and trust that characterised our relationship throughout.”
Tim Gardam, Principal, St Anne’s College, Oxford University.
“Matias completely redesigned and integrated an unloved balcony and some underused space to create a larger, “inside-out” balcony. He was instrumental in advising me on permissions, dealing with the building association (VvE), builders and suppliers, choosing and sourcing high quality materials and overseeing the project from design concept to the end. From start to finish, Matias provided great client service, a strong aesthetic and a collaborative approach. The result was a really magical makeover and space that’s effortlessly useable and lovely. I couldn’t recommend him more highly and would be happy to provide additional detail in person.”
Fiona Cohen, Amstel Sunroom.
“Matias’s design utterly transformed a very ordinary and modest flat into something that impresses everyone who walks through the door for the first time. By meticulous planning of the space and rigorous attention to detail, the finished layout looks wonderful and works brilliantly. His advice about project management and suppliers was also spot on. I would have no hesitation in recommending Matias and hope he will be available for any projects I do in the future.”
